DAY 2
| DELHI /
JAIPUR
After breakfast,
half-day city tour of Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, the
largest mosque in India ; Red Fort, -built by Shah Jahan then
Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma
Gandhi. Afternoon, leave for Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur and check
in at the hotel.
DAY 3
| JAIPUR
After breakfast,
proceed to the Amber fort (11km). Take an elephant ride from
the foothills of the Aravallis to the fort entrance. Amber
,the ancient capital of Jaipur, is a superb example of Rajput
architecture. Afternoon, city tour of Jaipur. Visit the City
Palace museum , Jantar Mantar - the observatory and the façade
of Hawa Mahal.
DAY 4
| JAIPUR/FATEHPUR
SIKRI/AGRA
After breakfast,
leave for Agra. Enroute visit the abandoned Mughal city -the
Fatehpur Sikri- the old capital of the Moghuls, Further,
proceed to see the graceful buildings including the Jama
Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces
which are still preserved in its original glory. Continue
drive to Agra. Arrive Agra in the evening and check in at
hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 5
| AGRA /
DELHI
After breakfast,
city tour of Agra. Visit Red fort, which was built by Emperor
Akbar in 1565; Itmat-ud-Daulah-constructed by the Mughal
empress-Nur Jahan and then the highlight of the day - The Taj
Mahal, - constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved
wife Mumtaz Mahal. Afternoon, free for personal activities.
Evening, leave for Delhi. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel
in Delhi.
DAY 6
| DELHI /
AMRITSAR
After breakfast,
city tour of New Delhi. Visit Humayun's tomb - this is an
early example of Mughal architecture; Qutub Minar, drive past
India Gate, President House, Connaught Place.
Leave for Amritsar the same day. On arrival at Amritsar
transfer to the hotel.
DAY 7
|
AMRITSAR / DELHI
After breakfast,
visit the Golden temple - the holiest shrine of the Sikh
religion, Jallianwala Bagh - The park where the 2000 Indians
massacre took place by the British in 1919. The story of this
massacre is told in the Martyrs' Gallery and a section of wall
with bullet marks still visible is preserved, as the well into
which some people jumped to escape can be seen. Visit Ram Bagh
- a beautiful garden built by Sikh Maharaja Ranjit
Singh. Afternoon, transfer to the airport to board for Delhi.
On arrival in Delhi, transfer to the hotel.
DAY 8

DEPART DELHI
Transfer to the
airport for the onward destination flight.
