  Kerala- A Spice Garden of India

  Thiruvananthapuram - Somatheeram - Alleppey - Kumarakom - Periyar - Munnar - Kochi


Kerala known for Sea, Sun and Ayurveda. No wonder National Geographic rates it amongst top 50 destinations in the world ! This little green paradise is edged on the one side by the forested ranges of the Western Ghats and on the other side by the Arabian Sea.
All along the coastal are a network of backwaters, lagoons and canals-the lifeline of the people who live along its banks Let's be in the green atmosphere of Kerala- the exotic mixture of natures very best. The high ranges of Western Ghats on the east, Arabian Sea on the west, emerald paddy fields; virgin forests, ayurvedic treatment and backwaters of Kerala are truly traveler's paradise.
 


DAY 1 | THIRUVANANTHAPURAM


Arrival with a South Indian welcome and transfer to a resort. Day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.


 

DAY 2 | SOMATHEERAM


Proceed for sightseeing tour of Trivandrum- a beautiful city of magnificent structures built on seven hills with ancient and modern style of architecture. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel


 

DAY 3 | SOMATHEERAM


Day free to relax at the wonderful tropical beach, set out for fishing with local fishermen on traditional kattamaran or rejuvenate yourself with the much acclaimed Ayurvedic treatment. Overnight at the hotel.


 

DAY 4 | ALLEPPEY


Drive through green coastal belt and cashew plantations and reach Alleppey- the central hub of Backwater network. Stay in a traditional Kerala house opening right over the Vembanad lake surrounded by banana plantations. Day free to relax with the option of an herbal oil massage. Also relish the wonderful Kerala cuisine in ethnic way. Reach Alapuzha for backwater houseboat from Alapuzha to Kumarakom. These houseboats are facilitated with bedrooms, attached bathrooms, kitchen, living porch, and sun deck area and also electrified with solar battery. It will cruise through backwater regions of Kuttanadu, R-block, Pathiramanal islands and Vembanadu Lake to reach Kumarakom. Overnight at the hotel.


 

DAY 5 | KUMARAKOM 


Sail through the backwater canals and reach Kumarakom- an island with a beautiful bird-sanctuary and extremely serene atmosphere. Rest of the free for personal activities. Overnight at the hotel.


 

DAY 6 | KUMARAKOM


The day is free to relax on the lush green lawns or recline on the coconut trees to watch the sky and water. Relax with the breathtaking view of the lake during dawan and dusk and get a glimpse or the formation of the birds flapping in and out of the bird sanctuary from any spot on the resort. Overnight at the hotel.


 

DAY 7 | PERIYAR 


Morning picturesque drive through rubber plantations and forested mountains and reach Periyar National Park - to see wild elephants. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.


 

DAY 8 | PERIYAR 


Proceed for a cruise at the Periyar Lake for the game viewing. The most popular sights are monkeys, elephants, deer, black bucks, wild pigs, and wild buffaloes. A large variety of birds can also be spotted. After breakfast sightseeing and visit spice plantation. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.


 

DAY 9 | MUNNAR 


After a picturesque drive through jungles, waterfalls and spice plantations, reach the high ranges of Munnar- the highest and the most beautiful tea-growing region in the world. Visit a tea estate and factory after some leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.


 

DAY 10 | MUNNAR 


Proceed for Munnar sightseeing visit of tea plantation, the Eravikulam National Park where we can see the Ibex locally called the Nilagiri Thar Mattupetti dam, old Munnar town etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.


 

DAY 11 | KOCHI 


Drive to Kochi- the cultural and commercial hub of Kerala . Watch a spectacular Kathakali performance along with its make-up process. Evening free to explore the vibrant markets. Overnight stay at the hotel.


 

DAY 12 | KOCHI


Day sightseeing at Fort Kochi. Visit the Mattancherry palace, Jewish synagogue, Jew town, old spice markets, St. Francis church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening ,visit Kalari center to witness Kalaripayattu - ancient Kerala martial art. Overnight stay at the hotel.


 

DAY 13 | KOCHI 


At appropriate time transfer to the airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
