Anjuna is a popular beach of north Goa. It gets very busy in Anjuna from November onwards with tourists of varied types flocking to this otherwise simple village. The atmosphere here during the peak season surprises as it a favorite destination of the hippies and backpackers since the 70's. The merchandise mainly consists of jewellery, clothes, appliqué work, papier-mâché boxes, turquoise bracelets, you name it and you find it there. Accommodation in Anjuna is not as furnished as one would find at other beach destinations of Goa. but nevertheless finding a place during peak seasons can be really difficult. Calangute is chock-full of places to stay, and demands only outstrips supply in the Calangute-New Year high seasons; at other times. Here in Calangute the restaurants and bars are mainly grouped around the entrance of the beach.

Due to its proximity to the capital Panaji, Dona Paula is a popular stop for the sight seeing tours. This has lead to mushrooming of hotels in and around Donapaula. There are boating facilities for those who dare to venture in the waters. The official residence of the Governor of Goa, Known as Cabo Raj Bhavan is situated on the westernmost tip of Dona Paula. Along the road leading to this place lies the ruins of the small military cemetery the British built at their brief oKOLKATApation of the Cabo, to deter the French from invading Goa
