Nestled in the
thickly forested foothills of the Himalayas, the Corbett
National Park was the first National Park in India to be
notified in 1936 and become part of Project Tiger. The park
extends from the outer Himalayas to the foothills of the
middle Himalayas, with the perennial River Ram Ganga flowing
through. Due to the diverse fauna, the park is an ideal
habitat for a variety of rich and varied wildlife. Avid bird
watchers would thrive on spotting the diverse selection of
birds.
