The forests in
South India survive mainly along the Western Ghats, a range of
high hills that run almost parallel to the West Coast.
Nagarhole National Park is one of the finest in South India
situated on the River Kabini with a rich and varied habitat
ideal for wild elephants, the elusive tiger and leopard.
DAY 1
| ARRIVE

Your tour
commences from Bangalore from where you will drive to
Nagarhole (220 kms. - 5 hours drive), which at one time served
as the Maharaja's reserved forest and became a National Park
in 1955. On arrival in Nagarhole, you will check into the
hotel . The Nagarhole Wildlife National Park is a paradise for
avid bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts. The rest of the
afternoon is free.
DAY 2

NAGARHOLE
Early this
morning, proceed on a jeep safari into the Nagarhole Wildlife
Sanctuary where you will have an opportunity to spot some
Indian bison, dhole, gaur and spotted deer. If you are lucky
you could catch a glimpse of a herd of wild elephants at the
lake. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the surroundings.
You could also take a coracle (a rustic boat) ride on the lake
and spot the numerous species of birds.
DAY 3

This morning
after a leisurely breakfast, you will return to the garden
city of Bangalore, where your tour ends.
