Welcome to the
central and Western zone of India, the region consisting the
states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Daman & Diu, and
Goa. One common thread that binds all the states is the Arabian
Sea, whose shores are shared by all. States are home to some of
the earliest monuments and heritage sites like Khajuraho temples,
Ajanta & Ellora caves, Harappan sites of Lothal and Kalibanga, and
great Buddhist shrines like Karla and Amravati and the ethnic
culture of Gujarat.
Madhya Pradesh perhaps is the biggest state of the Indian sub
continent. This land is a fascinating amalgam of scenic beauty,
history and modern urban planning. Madhya Pradesh is famous for
its legendary tourist destinations such as the temples of
Khajuraho, the majestic forts of Gwalior, Buddhist Stupas of
Sanchi and the various wildlife sanctuaries that Madhya Pradesh is
peppered with. |
