From Gangtok, proceed to Lachen (120kms) at an
altitude of 9,800ft. On the way, enjoy
locations like Tashi viewpoint, Kabi lungstok,
Naga waterfall, the confluence of Lachen Chu
and Lachung Chu at Chungthang. Lunch will be
served at Namok. You will reach Lachen at late
afternoon. In the evening check into hotel /
Lodge.
DAY 2

LACHEN / THANGU /
CHOPTA
VALLEY / LACHUNG
After breakfast , leave for Thangu (13,000ft)
and Chopta valley (13200 ft). Thangu , is a
broad valley at the junction of Thangu Chu,
Chopta Chu and Lasser Chu . In spring primula
and many other Alpine flowers are in full
bloom. Come back to Lachen for lunch. On the
way to Lachung , see beautiful Twin waterfalls
and Bhim Nala waterfall. You will reach
Lachung at late afternoon. And in the evening,
you will check into your hotel .
DAY 3
|
LACHUNG / YUMTHANG
On the way back to Yumthang (11,800ft), you
will see famous hot spring. Yumthang is a
large valley surrounded by mountains where the
tree line ends. In the winter months, Yumthang
is sombre with snow all around, and the
snow-clad mountains adding to the ethereal
beauty. After lunch , at Lachung visit Lachung
Monastery, Cottage Industry. Dinner will be
served at about 8 pm. Overnight stay at hotel.
