Negombo – Kandalama – Polonnaruwa – Trincomalee – Kandy – Colombo

Day 1: Arrive – Negombo On arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL.

Day 2: Negombo – Pinnawala – Kandalama After breakfast, you will proceed to Kandalama via Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Assisted by local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawala commenced a successful captive breeding program and the first baby elephant was born in 1984. The evening will be at leisure. Overnight at your HOTEL.

Day 3: Kandalama – Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa After breakfast you will be taken to climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site. Afterwards you will be taken to Polonnaruwa. It is the island’s medieval capital (built in the 11th and 12th century AD) with many of the ruins still in excellent condition. You will visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath and the statue of King Parakramabahu. Overnight at your HOTEL.

Day 4: Kandalama – Trincomalee After breakfast, you will be taken to Trincomalee. The rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight at your HOTEL.

Day 5: Trincomalee After breakfast, you will take a tour of Trincomalee – a port city situated on the east coast of Sri Lanka. The beaches are used for surfing, scuba diving, fishing and whale watching. The city also has the largest Dutch fort in Sri Lanka. Overnight at your HOTEL.

Day 6: Trincomalee – Kandy After breakfast, clients will be taken from Trincomalee to Kandy. Once you have arrived in the hill capital, the rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight at your HOTEL.

Day 7: Kandy – Colombo After breakfast, you will be taken on a tour around the city of Kandy. You will be driven around the Kandy lake built by the last Sinhala king, visit the Kandy town, the bazaar, an arts & crafts centre and a gem museum / lapidary. Afterwards you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and watch a cultural show. After visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic, you will be transferred to Colombo. Overnight at your HOTEL.

Day 8: Colombo – Depart After breakfast your tour will end.
