Day 1: Arrive Colombo
On arrival at Colombo airport you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL.
Day 2: Colombo – Pinnawala – Habarana
Today, you will be driven to Habarana, the hub of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. En route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala. The rest of the day will be at leisure to enjoy the nature trail around the HOTEL or to take an Elephant Back Safari.
Day 3: Habarana – Polonnaruwa – Minneriya – Habarana
After breakfast, you will visit the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa. Afterwards, visit Minneriya National Park, home to some of Sri Lanka’s favourites – sambar deer, leopards and elephants. Overnight at your HOTEL.
Day 4: Habarana – Sigiriya – Dambulla – Matale – Kandy
After an early breakfast, explore the Sigiriya and climb up to the rock fortress. Afterwards, visit the cave temples of Dambulla. Proceed to Kandy visiting a spice garden in Mataleen-route.
Day 5: Kandy – Peradeniya – Kandy
Today, you will visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. The rest of the day will be spent taking a city tour of Kandy. You will be driven around the Kandy lake built by the last Sinhala King, visit the Kandy town, the bazaar, an arts & crafts centre and a gem museum / lapidary. You will also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Overnight at your HOTEL.
Day 6: Kandy – NuwaraEliya
After breakfast, you will be driven through the misty mountains up to NuwaraEliya. The evening will be free to explore the town. Overnight at your HOTEL.
Day 7: NuwaraEliya – Yala
This morning, you will be taken to Yala (Ruhuna) National Park. After check-in at your HOTEL the day will be at leisure.
Day 8: Yala National Park
Today, you will enjoy a safari through Yala National Park, famous for its herds of elephants, as well as leopard, bear, crocodile and wild boar. Overnight at your HOTEL.
Day 9: Yala – Galle – Kosgoda – Bentota
This morning, you will be transferred to Bentota, visiting Kosgodaen route – a living UNESCO World Heritage Site. Two nights at your HOTEL.
Day 10: Bentota
After breakfast, your day will be at leisure.
Day 11: Bentota – Colombo
Today, you will be driven to Colombo where you will be taken on a tour of the city. See the beautiful Buddhist and Hindu temples, mosques, Wolfendhal Church, Colombo Museum, the Folk Art Centre and Independence Square. Overnight at your HOTEL.
Day 12: Colombo – Depart
After breakfast your tour will end.
